WITH THE KOMETS ON YOUR SPORT PAGES 1954-55
Bob Renner, assistant Sports Editor of the News-Sentinel, is now in his third season of presenting to you his fine detailed description and commentary on the Komet games.
Renner's fine analysis of the play of the International Hockey League has truly established him as one of the better hockey writers around the circuit. We know that his timely articles and periodical columns appearing in the News- Sentinel are looked forward to by all of the hockey fans in the area.
Bob attended North Side High School in Fort Wayne but later made his home in River Forest, Ill. Following his journalism studies at Indiana University, he returned to Fort Wayne to join the News-Sentinel Sports Staff. Renner also serves in the capacity of Official Scorer of all Komet Home Games.
Robert A. Reed, a veteran of thirty-four years on the sports staff of the Journal- Gazette, is the genial gentleman who brings you your morning story of the Komet doings in the Journal-Gazette. As sports editor of the Journal-Gazette, Bob Reed has probably attended and covered more sporting events in the Summit City area than most persons are able to witness in several life times. A graduate of Indiana University, where he performed as a baseball player, Bob Reed can be and is considered as one of Fort Wayne's own when it comes to lining up Sports Dignitaries.
Whether it be reporting the game or commenting through his regular column, Reed's articles on hockey and the Komets are always interesting and welcomed by the sports fans in the Tri-State area.
